You're always something nervous and apprehensive whenever you start anything you've never done before and swinging is no different. It's certainly not like any other type of socializing that you've ever done and definitely not for everyone... but... my first time was very enjoyable. Sex without commitment but for the pure joy of pleasure is an amazing experience. Once I had this first experience I knew it would not be my last.. I was very glad and satisfied that was able to make the mental change for this type of socializing.

I don't see how truly having a swinging lifestyle directly contradicts loving your spouse or partner. If your spouse is not into it, then you truly love that spouse enough to not push him/her into it. The first time I started a swinging lifestyle, I was definitely apprehensive. Like any sexual activity, it was one of those things I had to be absolutely comfortable and savvy about. So, I asked myself and my partner a lot of questions about it. I made sure the rules and boundaries were in place. I was concerned about STDs and such, so I always made sure they had some sort of proof that they were safe. I also liked to talk to the other swingers we were to get involved with just to be sure I (and my partner) was comfortable with them. It was pretty exhilarating to get into it. We went slowly and it took us some time to find sexually compatible folks. We came across a few pushy ones and a few non-pushy ones who went with the flow. So, the first time I started it, it wasn't bad at all. :)
