- Thanks. Although I hated studying poetry at school, I do enjoy writing it, and have written over 1,300 during the past three and a half years (most of which have been for my wife).

I will try

The Flower

I went out for a walk today and I came upon a little bloom,
sitting all by herself in the forest full of gloom.

I said what do we have here? with an ever so tender tone, such a pretty little flower growing here all-alone.

I said there is something wrong with this picture and it was clear to see,
not another flower like her in this forest full of trees.

So I gently dug around her and scooped her in my hands, and took the flower with me away from this gloomy land.

I stopped beside a babbling brook and gave her a little drink;
I said I know the perfect home for you and gave her a little wink.

I took her on a journey that ended at my home,
placed her in my flowerbed so she wouldn’t be alone.

I look into your eyes so sweet and brown,
it feel like I am going to drown,
the beauty, tenderness and love,
must have been put there from the man above.
You show the world your feelings inside,
you have such compassion and pride.

Zombies fill the streets,
Run but there's nowhere to hide,
They swarm forth like war fleets,
Breaking doors and walls far and wide,

Cut them to pieces, remove their heads,
Their guts and brains fly, return them to their earthen beds!
But in the end and this you full well know,
They'll get you, eat you at a banquet of woe!

It seems so unfair
To focus so on up there
Who's to say that the chin doesn't write best

- Thanks. The poem wasn't terrible, in fact it was taken(I revised it for the poem) from a friendship card I bought in a Hallmark store, a long time ago.
