All ketchup is blue, until it is exposed to oxygen, then it turns red.....or is that blood?

with enough blue food colouring it would make it blue. maybe they bleach it first?

They probably try to remove the natural red colours, or weaken them, then add blue colouring. Check the ingredients list on the bottle, it'll say if it has colouring ; )

It's a "fun food" for kids. They are usually picky eaters & most kids don't like ketchup once they find out that it is made from tomaotes. Who can resist blue ketchup??? I guess they process the hell out of it with tons of blue dye & preservatives.

Did I read you right: blue ketchup? Tomato ketchup is red due to the tomatoes. Don't ask me about HP (brown) sauce. I haven't got a clue! LOL.

BBC newsrelease, April 8, 2003 Heinz changes the colour of the ketchup by stripping the pigment from regular ketchup and adding food colouring.
