I have a male cat that is almost a year old and he has recently started spending a lot time just smelling everything. Is he okay?

    Hi, I've had lots of cats since i was a child and I never thought of that behavior as somethign bad.
    Cats have a very sharp sense of smell and might be smelling something that humans cant. It doesn't mean it's wrong.
    If your cat has no irritation or rush in its nose then you shouldn't worry.
    I'm not a vet, maybe a professioanl might give you a more accurate answer but it's my strongest thought that nothings wrong with your cat
