  • The talk, now thats a laugh, and no I did not learn about sex in Sex ed. class, I got a book from my mom.
  • Well, I never got the talk, no. and sex-ed didn't start until the 9th grade here, at which point I already knew what needed to be known. I think generally I learned from my friends, who learned from older siblings and other friends.
  • "The Talk" was given to us (me along w/ a couple of friends) by our classmate who was trying to teach us sex ed.. back in 5th grade. No kidding. :P
  • Before "the talk" (and the thing that prompted it) was the 10 year old friend (I was 7) who introduced me to the primary terminology: seeing a teen couple making goo-goo eyes at eachother on the beach, he started jumping up and down, pointing, shouting, "You committed intercourse!" Being the worshipful young sidekick, I joined in, and the next thing I knew my "pal" had taken off up the beach while the boy of the couple was shoving seaweed down my throat. After that, I wouldn't stop asking people what "intercourse" meant. (All I could get from my buddy was, "Did you ever walk into your parents' bedroom and the mattress was bouncing up and down?) When I started button-holing the nuns on the sidewalk from the convent down the street, my dad finally relented and clued me in. Interesting thing though, one thing he omitted was that it was fun. The 8th Grade sex-ed teacher made a similar omission. I had to find that out on my own -- well, with a good bit of help from a way too precocious girl.
  • I remember it well, very embarrassing, with lots of questions, but I think they understood in the end :-)
  • I never had it. I don't know if they thought I'd figure it out on my own or if they just decided not to tell me about it all because they didn't want to, but they just never did.
  • I basically learned everything from tv.
  • Yes, by my mother at the age of 12...
