yeah. Start with a slow backswing, rotating your hips evenly with yor shoulders. Try only going half-way with your backswing. the trick is to be sqaure with the ball at impact and follow through. the more you take the club back the more can go wrong on your swing. You also want to swing down on the ball, this adds compression to the ball at impact and will allow you to take a divot, that is what gives your ball backspin, very important for approach shots to the green. If you are slicing( ball flight is left to right) that means you are bringing the club around wide to the outside (at impact the club is not on a staight line of your target, it is moving outside to inside) that puts a clickwise spin on the ball, causing the slice. If you are pulling the ball, that is a right to left ball flight, your swing from the inside to the outside putting a counter-clockwise spin on the ball. adjust your stance. grip it and rip it!!!

    Start by learning the basics:

    1. Grip - You need to hold the club in your fingertips so that you can make a full wrist hinge. If you were holding your hand flat, the grip of the club should cross the base of your pinkie and the first digit near the tip of your pointer finger. Now close your hand.

    2. Stance - You want to be in a nice, athletic stance with a stable base. You should bend from the hips, not your back, and let your arms hang straight down.

    3. Hip Rotation - First learn how to move your body. You want to rotate and not slide by coiling your hips and shoulders. You should feel your weight transfer to the inside of your right foot and resistance in your groin area.

    4. The Backswing - Bring the club straight up while keeping your arms and hands in front of your body. You want to lift the club up without letting it get stuck behind you. When you do this successfully you will have a gap between your hands and your head. Wide swings generate a lot of power.

    5. The Downswing - The downswing should come naturally. Once you start the downswing there should be no more "thinking" involved. You want to use your whole body, starting at the hips and ending at your hands, to whip the club head through the ball. It should almost be like the ball is just getting in the way. Again, it is more of a throwing action. You can't swing "at" the ball you have to swing "through" the ball.

    Hope this helps!
