Fairly. The site is an FAQ site, so its supposed to be fairly generic- the idea is that even if you posted a question yourself, there are other people who will find the answer useful. Even answering someone elses question, you're not only addressing them, but anyone else looking for answers on that topic. Sometimes someone who posts a question and answers it themselves has just noticed a gap in the coverage of a particular topic, or has just found out a bit of useful information that they want to share with other users. It sounds a bit more "proffesional" (if that's the right word) to answer in a detached way. It seems a bit unecessaryto announce at the beginning of a post "Right, I'm answering my own question everyone!"
