When trick or treating as a child, which treats were you most happy to receive?

Mary Janes or peanut butter kisses. I still really enjoy them. Current day: the kids voluntarily give up their Nerds as I keep pilfering them, hehe.

when I was young there were a bunchg of houses that gave out big whole chocolate bars. Those were the best houses to stop at.

Chocolate candy bars...most people gave out candied apples or hard candy. (Yes, it was safe to give you candied applies back then)

Anything that was chewy or caramelly(don't think there is such a word)..I loved Bit O' Honey, and Big Hunks a lot..licorice was a favorite. There used to be a candy called "walnettos"..don't think they make them anymore..but they were like caramels only with walnuts in them. I never liked chocolate creams..always preferred nuts and chews! On the rare occasion that we'd get to choose a piece or two of See's candy, I was in heaven..there were a couple of families that did that..I always went for the nougats! :)

crunch bars, m&m's, hershey bars, lollipops, haha anything with sugar!!!

I loved caramel popcorn balls. Afraid they are a thing of the past for Halloween though. Homemade and not store wrapped.
