Can it fly with only two engines, yes. For instance, if two quit during flight, the plane would not crash. A full 747 would struggle to gain enough speed and may not generate enough thrust for liftoff without the power of four engines. It would also consume more fuel and cause more stress because the two engines would require more power to maintain cruising speed.
