I don't think so, but I don't really know..I do know that they are very healthy and are loaded with nutrients so if they are aware enough to feel "pain" they must be aware enough to know that their lives were purposeful and helpful to mankind and what better way to "go" then to give your life for another? :)

Apparently yes, but I read the article a long time ago and it was only 'second hand'. I'd really like to see the study results 'first hand'.
