I believe the first person I ever spoke to on AB was nevets. On this question: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/248629 Jodie44 was another ABer I talked to.

I remember all four people that were welcoming and nice to me on my very first question. One is now one of my very best friends in real life. One is a good AB friend. One has stabbed me in the back multiple times and taunts me constantly. The other one follows her around and occasionally joins in the taunting, too. So, I got lucky with 2 of them being great. I quickly learned that you can't trust or admire everyone around here, though, even though you'd very much like to do so. Updated: Just got word that the one I thought was a good AB friend has also betrayed me by sharing a confidence. Oh well...down to 1.

When I first joined AB, there was very little talking going on;it wasn't really a chat site. Comments were restricted to 100 characters and anything remotely subjective was not approved - in those days, all questions and answers were moderated.

It would have been superpanda or boredasmustard (no longer with us on AB, sadly). Nevets, stableboy and a few others were also lovely to me. :)

Shelby, Fun, iden were the main ones I would comment with then someone(who now cant get on AB). Some how lol all the people I use to comment with got really busy or maybe it is me with work and school.

Firebrand was the first one to talk to me. cuttergirl was the first one to ask me to be her friend. Both are just so great

Hypergalactic-Starfish was the very first person to talk to me. He thanked me for my answer. Chopsy and Muffin were the first people who joked with me. I thought they were hilarious. I still do. Also, Nelson and Gtravels were very nice to me.

as i recall it was The Trotskyist Pantaloons (now called sakhlinkski or something like that). also BAM was one of the first i chatted with.

actually, there are quite a few of us who got fed up with the vicious trolls on Yahoo, and came here. it was my yahoo friend, da ben dan, who told me about this site, so I checked it out and followed him over.

When I first came to AB I didn't really talk to anyone. It wasn't until later that I started getting more active and talking to people.

It was Nelson who I first talked with in AB. I loved his humor then and I still do now. He has a nice way of tickling my funny bone at the same time as he makes me think:-)
