Me, but I loved it. It was deliciously grim.

Yeah, it didn't know it was supposed to be so bloody. But it was great. I just didn't have prior knowledge that it would be like that. *shrug*
-
Yes, it was much more violent than I expected, but I loved the film. It was haunting and stayed with me for days. My sister and I went back and forth over whether or not she was really dead or had in fact, returned to her "World". Grim, but marvelous!

It's a haunting movie - I certainly did not expect it to be such a mixture of sheer terror, poignancy, paradox and methaphor.... totally refreshing in its clever use of a lot of traditional European folklore and body politic.

i like torture

The bits I saw of it turned me off completely..it was ugly and dark..not the images I want to flood my brain with, no matter how artsy-craftsy hoity-toity intellectually brilliant it was purported to be...leave that to those with strong stomachs and the ability to remain detached no matter what vile images they see! :(
-
it was poignant, i felt there was probably enough violence in the film to actually move you, combined with the music and the acting, it was brilliant
-
I thought it was a well written and executed film (pun intended). It was really good, but I wouldn't buy it.
-
Me, my sister and i watched it expecting a disney-type movie. Was surprised at what we got but was still a moving film. x

Yes, yes, and yes. I had to watch it in school and I thought that was a weird choice to let students watch.
