    I was born at home on the kitchen table with the aid of my grandmother and aunt who just happened to come by. That was 52 years ago in Belgium. The nurse had visited my mom who said she felt like it might be time. But the nurse said, no, silly, it's not. Well, the nurse was wrong:-) And I have attended a few home births, one which my husband was the one who helped deliver the baby, not a midwife. But the mother had given birth at home 3 times before and my husband had had some training. It was amazing!!!
