I used to go to bed at 9pm, and that seems like a reasonable time.
-
8-9...depending on what time they wake up.
-
By 8 or 8:30. No later. +
-
My kids went to bed at 8:30 at that age, and it was still hard sometimes to get them up for school!
-
I would say 8PM...depending on daylight saving tho...you can't expect a 6 yr old to go to sleep with the sun still up. -Buddy
-
I'd actually say 8:30-9, depending on school schedules.
-
i think 9 depending on wat time they wake up or else they sleep to much and feel like they want to sleep more when they wake up so i would say 10 or 9 hours beore your wake up time to sleep.
-
anywhere between 8 & 9. Just depends on how tired they are or what time they got up that day
-
My kid would sleep 12 hrs till he was 10.So if he was getting up at 7 for school he went to bed at 7.He gave up naps very young. He needs a long uninterupted sleep.
-
At a reasonable time to give them at least 10 hours sleep time. And at the same routined time every night.
-
730 or 8
-
8.30 at the latest.
-
my little one is nearly 6 and he goes to bed between 7 and 7.30 and his still ratty in the morning. At this age they still dont quite understand time, so make the most of it.
-
a six year old needs at least 10 hours sleep...so.....?
-
8:00 p.m., this will give them a chance to wake up fresh for breakfast and school.
-
My daughter has had an 8:30 bedtime for years...she is 5 and I anticipate continuing it for years to come. It just seems to work for us...she knows what to expect and we don't have problems in the morn when she gets up at (since school started) 6:45.
-
8:00 is fine, read a bedtime story, kiss and goodnight because you need to unwind.
-
children under 8 need 10 to 11 hours of sleep per day. Figure out when they have to be up in the morning and count backwards. You can tell the difference between the kids that get enough sleep and those that don't. I'd say 7 or 8 if they have to be up at 6 AM.
-
8:30 or 9:00 pm depending on what time they have to get up because little ones need more sleep than the rest of us.
-
when they are tired. I used to dread when i had a bedtime because i was never tired at that time. I would get so stressed out all night. The most stressful thing of my life was (still is) trying to get to sleep. I have heard from many doctors that it is an unhealthy thing to go to bed if you are not tired. They say you shouldn't do it because then like me you get stressed and are too focused on I can sleep for X hours if I fall asleep now and get too stressed out to sleep at all. It's a bad habit to have. If he isnt tired by the time you want him to go to sleep you should have him join a sport or do some more physical activity during the day so he will be.

8.30 is a practical time to put them to bed. It takes them half an hour to unwind with stories and lullabies to fall peacefully into sleep.
-
Between 8 and 8:30. That way they can get into bed, do story time, and wind down before falling asleep.
