  • There were many results of the increased industrialization in the late 1800's. During the age of Industry, cities began booming, and you see major cities like New York popping up. The country was going from 80% agrigran to majority industry. Up until the end of the Civil War and the beginning of the age of Industry America had been beind the rest of the world -industrially- by about 150 years. A sense of nationalism began. Railroads started booming. Not before too long Congress aproved a route from Chicago to San Fransico for the transcontinetal rail road. By 1890 some 200,000 miles of train tracks were covering America. It made it possible for western states to be able to particapate in Congress. What used to take a year to travel now only took a matter of months. People began moving out west. It completely changed the face of America. You have new buisness being created: meatpacking plants, etc. And new inventions being created to make life easier, such as: windmill, barb wire, steel plow, etc. Every aspect of American life was changed by the inventions created in the industrial revolution. It brought America into modern times.
