I don't have any numbers for you here... but who has sex more often and with more partners is a personal decision/sex drive issue. There are people, straight and gay alike, who have sex promiscuously, those that have sex many times a day, and those who do not, or are not particularly interested. In my opinion, this is like asking... "do gays and lesbians like the color blue more, or buy more blue shirts than heterosexuals?" probably not. ... there are definitely people who have more frequent sex, or more sexual partners, than others... but that isn't a factor of their sexual orientation... just who they are individually.

Perverts and sluts have sex more often than anybody, gay or straight :P Seriously though, being gay is about more than sexual attraction. Love in fact has nothing to do with sex; I believe that is a common misconception. Very very common.... ok, everyone except me.

I'm gay and I can tell you that No, gays don't have more OR less sex than heterosexuals. It's really what the answers below/above said: It has nothing to do with sexual preference/attraction, it has to do with the sex drive. For example, heterosexuals have sex mostly every night, right? Well, at least those with a high sex drive. Same would be with homosexuals, don't you think?

Yeah sure. At least let us straights think they do to make us feel more miserable about our pathetic straightness. I doubt that the other crowd get its more often than the straight crowd does. Maybe they do, but then they are not hampered by the conduct of man on woman dating and courting. Dude and Gals tend to have all of this extra "stuff" between us. Two men, two women are they hampered with "stuff"? I think it is a myth, a perception concluded by those who want to make an issue out of sexuality and saying "they are more promiscuous that us" makes some big issues bigger (for those with issues of course)

I think more partners is questionable but as far as regular sex, that depends. Some lesbians suffer under Lesbian Bed Death, and fall for that horrible myth. Others, enjoy sex more because they are willing to talk and take their time and have more foreplay and sex is more pleasurable. Straight couples do have a reputation for not having a great deal of sex, but heck, so do a lot of lesbians unfortunately.

no. no more or less than straight couples do. I often wonder why people think we do have more. some people think that the ONLY thing we think about is sex. we have relationships just like everyone else does. I know more straight people who are more promiscuous. our alleged preoccupation with sex is pretty much just a stereotype.

There have never been any scientific studies that demonstrate this one way or the other. Of course, there are lots of bigots who will respond affirmatively to this question, based solely on their prejudices.
