Just water weight and a really good way to severely dehydrate yourself. The water weight is replaced once you drink fluids.

Water weight witch you will gain back as soon as you drink. There are health benefits to them though... you sweat out a crapload of toxins that way... but don't use them as a weight loss tool. Replenish the water you lose and keep your body properly hydrated! :)

When you're in a sauna ones core body temperature is increased. When this happens, the body has to cool itself. The body achieves this by sweating. To get the sweat to the sweat glands, water is carried by blood cells. As the body gets hotter, the heart pumps harder to take the water to the sweat glands. The act of this increase in activity in the cardiovascular system would undoubtedly require more calories than sitting in room temperature. Does it burn fat? The calories burned by this process wouldn't be significant, but it does help. A lot of weight loss is from sweat and toxins. Toxins trapped within the body can inhibit the metabolic performance of the body, therefore, even though the sauna may not directly cause the body to lose weight, a sauna indirectly can help one to lose weight through the detoxification of this toxic build up within the muscle tissue and fat cells.
