If the 2008 United States Presidential election is between Clinton and Giuliani, who will the Bible people vote for?

Giuliani. All the right-wingers seem to think that Clinton is a socialist, and we ALL KNOW that socialists want to destroy religion. Yeah. Sure.

They'll probably write in Pat Buchanan.

They will vote for Rudy because he has stated that he would be, and has always been, against Federal money to fund abortions and he also is in favor of strict constructionist judges over progressives like Ginsberg, both of these things would help, not hinder, the pro-life cause while Hillary is for Federal money funding abortion, and we all know the type of judges she would appoint. There is a wider margin between them than some think.

The Bible-Belt seems conflicted about this matter -- Some Evangelical leaders remain bitterly opposed to Giuliani's firm support for abortion rights and moderate views on Gay rights, and I have heard a significant number of people from the Bible-Belt saying they would never vote for a woman.

I'm sure they would vote for Giuliani, because they would see him as the lesser of two evils. That's the same justification we all have when we vote. I like Ms. Clinton, but she is a politician, so in my perspective she is a lesser of two evils; she's not perfect. Perhaps this will be the first election since the 80's where the Right Wing Fundamentalists do not have a candidate in their pocket, and they have to settle like the rest of us do. And as a result, if Giuliani wins, it would not be that bad. :)

i think 2/3 of the Bible people( I love that nickname!) will vote for Giuliani. The other 1/3 will stay home or write in a candidate. I think the Giuliani voters will do what a lot of us do most of the time, hold their noses and vote.
