About 20 years ago I had one with lemon filling. I didn't care for it. I like chocolate and glazed.

It had a raspberry filling and it was pretty good. It was from a local bakery. Only complaint I had was that the filling was all in one end. Had to eat half the donut before I got to the good part:-) We once drove through a tiny town in the mountains of West Virgina and found a little donut shop. They had so many kinds of donuts, I couldn't believe it!!! They must have had 20 different filling ones alone. Everyone from town was coming by and getting them. We tried a few, some I haven't seen since, and they were incredible!!! The ones with fruit tasted like real fruit. The cream ones tasted of real cream. It was just a little place but it put all those chain store to shame. These were dreamy:-)

A very very very long time ago. I'm sure, since it's me, it was probably raspberry. And it was terrible...I don't like doughnuts with filling. And thanks to the doughnut in question, I now know that!
