  • I THINK THERE WILL BE BUT NOT NOW BECAUSE THESE CONSOLES ARE STILL NEW
  • You can make an ISO out of a file out of these discs with a program like this: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm However, just because you've made an ISO file and put it on a disc does not mean that you will be able to play them on your PS2/Wii. You will need a mod chip to be able to play these copied games on your gaming console. Please remember that piracy is illegal, and I cannot be held responsible for any actions you partake in. EDIT: Updated Answer It's come to my attention that there is now a hack that can do what this answer describes. You can read a how-to guide on this forum post, but I'm sure there are doubtless others out there: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/708290 That said, I still stand quite firm on my comments in the comment thread below. The book described does not make anything easier for you, and in my opinion is just about as hard to understand as this forum post that I linked to. Its ads are also filled with misleading guarantees and I'm sure you won't get what you think you're paying for. I highly suggest you don't encourage these people, save your money, and find the information using the internet. I'll repeat again that if you want to use this information illegally, that's all on your shoulders.
  • Copying games is not an issue. Almost any dvd writing software will do it, including most free ultilies that come with your dvd burner (ie. Nero Express). The problem comes in getting your console to read these copies. That's where the problems happen. 1. Easiest way is to purchase and install (or have installed) a modchip. These chips work by sending a code to the system saying, "I know it doesn't look like a original game but it is... trust me" and the system believes it. So far this is your only option for the Wii. 2. Swapping is the next best. You have to mod your case by removing the front plate of your DVD tray and get a special tool to allow you to manually eject the disk. Some systems have replacement covers for the entire PS2 top case which make opening it to remove a disc easier. This sytem works by using a regular game and once the system has assured itself that it is an original... you pop open your machine and swap out that disc for your copy. The copy can be any copy not just a copy of the game you used to boot the system. 3. This last method is by far the best, however it is for uber-geeks only. I wouldn't try it myself as I'm just not that good. You obtain the firmware code for your PS2 and hack it to remove the lines of code that check to see if the disc is an original. Then you re-flash the chips in your PS2 with the altered firmware. I have a few friends who went whole hog and replaced their firmware with Linux and a PS2 emulator and they can't brag loud enough about how sweet it is. So there you go... if you can find any other options... let my know. I find the Mod chip is my fav. When I bought my PS2, I modded my PSX and when I buy my PS3 this year, I'll be modding my PS2. Hope this helps.
  • There sure is. You can use Nero or any other free dvd copying software to make a copy of your PS2 and Wii games. There is no way to make the disk 100% like the original. When the manufacturer makes the disk there is a boot sector that lets the system know that it is a PS2 / Wii disk. But when you make a disk with your PC it uses a MBR for the first sector of the disk. So you will need to trick your PS2 or Wii into playing them since they will only read originals out of the box. I have use A Console Gamers Little Black Book Of Dirty Secrets to backup and play copied PS2 games. However there is a PS2 edition out there. I have not checked it out but it would be a good investment since it is uber cheap. For the Wii however I would recommend getting the Wii edition of A Console Gamers Little Black Book Of Dirty Secrets. I went and picked up a copy a few days ago. I modded my Wii in about 30 minutes. It is super easy to do. Just follow the steps in the guide. http://www.wiigamecopyingguide.com
