aluminium. it makes that dramatic *cliing!* sound, when struck. if you are able to hit the damn thing, that is:/
-
hmm i would think that since the ball is so big/heavy, wooden bats would break easier ive never actually used a wooden bat.
-
I've always used an aluminum bat in fast-pitch softball. Actually, I think that wooden bats are banned in most leagues.
-
I've once used an alluminum bat and it vibrated a lot when I hit the ball. it hurt really bad. Wood bats dont do that
-
Wood. The aluminum ones seem cooler, until you hit a ball slightly "off" with it and your hands sting like a mother from the vibration.
-
I my all mens league we are required to use wood because of the danger factor. In my co-ed league we can use aluminum. I much prefer aluminum, because you can just get a better hit.

i like to play with aluminum bats. I just got a $300 bat and i've seen the same exact bat used in the college league. It's a composite bat so if you hit it goes 2 x's as far as a regular bat.
