I have never been embarrassed to say someone was my friend but right now I am regretting the fact that I thought I had "friends".

No. I have always felt honored and lucky to have a friend and to have them consider me to be a friend as well.

I wasn't embarrassed that this girl was my friend in general, but she would go to the grocery store in house slippers and that would make me think, "Good God, go put on some shoes or you are not coming with me." lol
