  • I don't know about *trendy*. I myself truly am anxious and uncomfortable around clowns. Some people may have picked it up from seeing or reading Stephen King's "It", but I was already scared of clowns before I read or saw it, which just made the book that much scarier. (Tim Curry is freaky as HELL as Pennywise the Clown.) Funny that I'm afraid of spiders and clowns, and the creature from "It" is a scary clown- who's actually a ginormous spider!! I myself am curious to know if it's 'trendy' now, too... I think I'd find that rather insulting, as clowns really do scare the hell out of me. It annoyed me the same way when it appeared that bisexuality was becoming 'fashionable' at my high school. Makes actual bisexuals look bad when people pull that kind of crap.
  • im not sure if it is trendy. personally speaking, im not afraid of clowns, but i do find them rather creepy.
  • I don't have any negative feelings towards clowns. However, I know a few people who don't like them because they were frightened by them when they were young and never got over it.
  • I've been afraid of clowns my whole life. I had no idea that people wanted others to think they were scared of them. And I'm also not one of those who scream and cry, I just get really nervous and like other people to be between the clown and myself.
