Do you ask questions you already know the answer to just to see what other people will say? but, not to see if the answer is correct, just to have a better understanding about there "thought process".

as the previous poseter, i sometimes want a real answer, other times i treat it more as 'opinion bag' because im curious to know what and how other people think about the things i think about.

Yes, sometimes I do this to better understand other peoples views and thought processes and other times I like to do this because I know ABers like a challenge. But a lot that I ask I need input on and often find I knew the answer and just needed someone to make me know that. Some questions I ask, I just have no clue and need or want to know. Lots of reasons I suppose. Sometimes I just ask for something humorous because I need a laugh or the mood of the members seems a little grumpy and figure we could all use a laugh.
