I don't think it is likly. Transformations from one species to a "seperate" species takes a v-e-r-y long time and certain natural forces must be in play. The human race is a relatively "new" species, but it has now the ability to control its environment to the point that natural adaptation or "evolution" is not necessary. At least for the forseeable future. Not that it is out of the question, however.

In a way- we will transform into metahumans, but this will be a technological transformation, through genetic engineering and nanotechnology. And BTW, monkeys did not evolve into humans. monkeys and humans evolved from a common ancestor.
