  • Its to do with the old BNP (British National Party) and the NF (National Front). Both were VERY racist and violent to any non white-British person. Both adopted the St. Georges Cross as their symbol, however during the European football championships held in England, the "people took it back". Due to this, they adopted the Union Flag (it is only a Jack if it is displayed on a boat and can only be displayed on a boat with the queens written permission!) as their symbol. People fly this flag as both a representative of the Union and as a kind of "in your face" action aimed at these racists. Good question!
