Don't know about anyone else, but here is Aus it's two syllables. 'Fi-yer'. We don't say 'Fyrr' like Americans, so I guess it really depends on the accent.

i say it with two. ive notcied when i count out the syllables theres always a connection with the amount of syllables and the number of vowels..

It depends on where you're from. When I lived in Texas, I heard some people say, "far." In California, where I'm from, we say "fye ur."

My first instinct was to say it's one syllable, but then when I said the word aloud I realized it's actually a two syllable word. Interesting!

I can't even pronounce it with one syllable. I say fy-er.
