Yes. Rental shops rent treadmills and weight equipment as rentals or lease to own. It’s always better to try out a treadmill before buying. A treadmill takes up about 30 sq. ft of space. Also depending on your age you may want to ask your doctor if it’s a good idea for you. If you have any heart problems the doctor should know what kind of exercise you will be doing. The price of a treadmill varies and it’s important that you know what you are buying so renting first is a good idea. Commercial treadmills can be as much as $10,000 dollars and have high-grade components. The one I have here has no bells and whistles but still cost $700.00 a few years ago. The motors are all different. For walking a 2 horsepower motor is enough but if you want to jog or run then look for something more. Belts are different sizes too 16 inch to 20 inch. If you plan to run, or have bigger feet, look for something that is closer to 20. .
