    Serj Tankian

" About religion- My religion is the same as the trees out there. It's the same inspiration. Whatever moves them, moves me. I believe that we're animals. I know we are because we die and we eat and we ****. And all modern religions to me are false. All modern religions come from a time of what we call civilization. Civilization has only existed ten thousand years among millions of years of man being on this planet. Everything before civilization is called prehistory. The reason that I don't give credence to modern religions is because they are only partially true. Because they were started from after civilization. Therefore they all start from a place that's not already to me natural. So if you want to know what my religion is, it's the same religion as the native American, same religion as the Aborigine, as the Maori in New-Zealand, as the Kahunas in Hawaii. I believe in beginnings."

"SOAD’s lead singer Serj Tankian’s grandfather was raised in an American missionary orphanage in Armenia after his parents and family were exterminated. “I would not be alive if not for the American orphanages that raised my grandfather after the Armenian Genocide of 1915, so I have a lot of love and respect for the good things that America has and can continue to achieve,” Tankian told CMJ magazine. Religiously inspired hatred and violence is a deeply personal reality for these four musicians. We may forget. They cannot."

There is one truth, one way. Begin with general revelation; then proceed into the Word of God. What makes the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, the maker of all that is the only true God? Truth. False religions were started with the fallen Angels, it's lead everyone to say "We give up, we're atheists, we choose to be open minded!" You have made an error... You're not open minded, you just said "There can not be a God", you've just limited something that you can't prove... Dig deeper, Mathew 7:8-12 says if you seek you will find, God promises you this. Just dig and you will find God to be true, Jesus actually says he will disclose himself to those who are obedient to him; that means proof after you have faith, it's very strange. Don't choose to seperate yourself from God because it's "The cool" thing to do, seek out truth and don't listen to anyone, including me (except for the seek out truth for yourself advice, that is). I promise you will find truth if you seek it out... I did. Think for yourself and investigate, dig deep because they all lie; they can't hide the truth though, the One makes it available despite their attempts.

What you will come to conclude is "Jesus is the way" John 14:6
Again don't believe me, just don't be lazy! Seek truth.

The Derivative of (Mass)(Velocity) as a function of time = Force

That's what it equals, not "many answers"; only one, their aren't many truths... Only one truth. I did my part, now do yours.

Wow, it sucks that a band with so much talent like SOAD does not believe in THE Jesus Christ,: (
It sucks that there's alot of people in the world that do not know what it's like to FEEL the love of Jesus Christ and i believe that at one point in everyone's life there will be a situation where God shows you that He IS real and that's something I KNOW will happen to this band.

    PEACE homeslicers : )

I find it equally amazing that the Jesus freaks who are sad we are missing out on all the fun do not realize that the human mind has an incredible susceptibility for delusion and hallucination. Take a guy like Dan Barker who spends half of his life in worshiping, feeling and experiencing Jesus and then after a period of reflection goes oops! This stuff is all made up, has no evidence supporting it, and all the evidence actually points to a naturalistic world driven by evolution and natural selection!

I think S.O.A.D. questions Christianity as a possibility at least in one of their songs he sings "maybe we're all sinners til we die" which is a belief of many religions really but he mentions Jesus in one song.. I keep looking for it.. and it didn't seem all too anti-Jesus. like just mentioning him. it was interesting to hear one night while I enjoyed the album Hypnotize as I fell asleep.. more content than usual. And after reading his beliefs quoted above I notice they're similar to mine. I'm very naturalistic, even science-minded. I believe in beginnings and process and progress and stuff like that. I believe that a God set it in motion. This was the start of my beliefs but as I continued to dig deeper into what I believe I felt the strongest pull in the whole "personal" God. which later lead me to believe in a relationship with Christ. which I am still developing but really do not foresee myself turning this aside as it has become very believable as I feel the word of God and its truth mingle with my life.. stuff like prayers being answered beyond the law of attraction. odd coincidences happening way too many times since my faith has grown and continuing to become more blatant as I toss doubts aside. Sensing God's grace and mercy draws me in over and over. I listen to my local christian radio station every time I'm in my car (almost) even when I don't feel like it and even when I feel a bit lost and confused something keeps pulling me back to Jesus. idk why.. but I like it! S.O.A.D. is SO Talented!!!--- just a thought.
