No. It goes like you can take ANY size paper BUT you must fold it in HALF each time until you reach seven. I have tried it on multiple occasions but failed miserably.

It has been done before. I saw it once on MythBusters actually. They folded a gigantic piece of paper eleven times, but they need the weight of several people to do it.

With a large enough sheet, it is technically possible, it has been done before. Practically, for a small sheet of paper, it's only foldable so many times. The limit comes when the thickness is equal to or greater than the width. The larger the paper is, the less this becomes a problem, I presume
