What size tubing should I use on a 1/48 scale aircraft model to simulate 50 caliber gun barrels?

    Sorry, I was a bit short there. My numbers go for the inside diameter, of course it will be substantially bigger on the outside! But again, once you know the outside diameter of the barrel, (Google?), divide by 48 and hey presto!

    That's an easy one!
    You divide .50 by 48, that should make about .01.
    (Or for us continentals, divide 12.7 mm by 48, that should make about a quarter of a millimeter!)
    pretty small, isn't it?
    Some modellors suggest needles from hypodermics for gun barrels.
    Perhaps Evergreen makes something small enough?
