austrailia. everyone that as been there as said it was great and i have always wanted to go there but i hate flying and its a long long flight.

This is *very* difficult. I would love to visit someone in Australia, but I also want to visit Berlin to see where my dads family lived.

Dude, Germany. Totally. I could go around saying "Guten Tag" to people and no one would think I was crazy.

I've been to both and would prefer (and am going again in 2008) to Australia only because of the Great Barrier Reef and the so many different options and opportunities. Both countries have wonderful people, great history, but I favor the wines and food of Oz vs. Germany and the weather is generally better also.

Australia mate! I went there on vacation and it was the best of my life! Loooooved it. Germany is ok, but i've been many times, for me it's a kind of business place more than vacation.

Australia, personally. I've visited both countries and although both definitely have their own personal charms, Australia is simply more 'my' kind of place. I prefer warm weather. I also prefer the food in Oz over Germany. I got so sick of gravy being poured over nearly every meal I ate in Germany. It's definitely a personal preference, however.

Australia-coral reef, deadly medusas, hot weather... My type of relaxation. Germany sucks for living and visiting. (Forgive all German folks, I don't mean anything wrong!)

well im living in australia, and sydney has definitely grown quite boring for me, so id have to say germany (autobahn makes it worthwhile). however if i had lived in say the uk, then id go to australia because its a unique experience with a blend of the beach, tropics and the city

I don't have an option. I live in Texas, all my family is in Australia and all my wife's family is in Germany and I work for an airlines so we go to both. I prefer Australia, for the climate but Germany is great, the beer, wine, food,fests and castles. This was a realy difficuld question for me!

Australia would interest me a lot. But I often spend my vacations in Germany. Because I live in Munich.
