  • The U.S. does this currently. It is very detrimental in the balance of power re corp v individual & corp v govt. Also with the advent of corporate globalism - corps can pick and choose which laws from which countries they want to be subject to - which laws will benefits themselves and thereby subvert the whole intention of protecting individuals...which was the whole point.
  • I think it's detrimental. Corporations are generally comprised of multiple responsible parties and not an individual. If they are going to be recognized as an individual, than one person needs to be accountable for all actions the corporation is involved in. They gain the benefits of being a corporation and the benefits of being classified as an individual, and they can pretty much pick which laws (tax or otherwise) they want to follow.
