Both. People over 50 may or may not have old fashioned ideas. A 22 year old may or may not have old fashioned ideas. These ideas may or may not be seen as "cool". In other words, just be yourself and have an open mind.

I am sure that age brings experience but not stick in the mud ideals. Many older people have seen it all and have a more all round view of things.

Naturally, being 63, i hope i find myself able to converse with younger people. The problems of today, are the same problems facing people 50 years ago. its like history, it repeats itself. Sometimes, old-fashioned ideas are the best. if this were not so, then why do the younger people go to the older people for their answers to tough everyday questions? My wife and i raised our two granddaughters.we thought our generation gap would be miles apart. not so. we had more in common than we both realized. girls still date boys and boys still love automobiles and music. there is no difference. People are like the styles of clothing. what i wore back 30 years ago, is back in style today. So are old-fashioned ideas. Long may they live!

Being 21, I think that some of the older members of Answerbag are actually way cooler than some of the people my own age.

way cooler , better answers and questions...they have nothing to prove to anyone and can be as if not more fiesty than the kids(under 25's)

I think many over 50s are cooler. But some are complete fuddy duddies, as can be 22 yr olds.

Ideas, Opinions, old fashioned or not, all have their place. Depending on what you believe noone is right, wrong or old or too young. just different, and that has to be cool.

He** yeah! Some of the coolest musicians on the planet are in their 50s and 60s, dare I say entering their 70s.

There are lots of young people that have old-fashioned ideas and there are lots of older people who have a young state of mind. You have to keep in mind that lots of the young liberals probably got most of their ideas and values from their parents.

Old fashioned...hahahaha! We grew up in the 60's and 70's and we're being called old...I have a 28 year old daughter who has yet to grow up. 22 year olds cool?? Maybe one here or there.
