No. Your rank is greater than 1000. As far as the rankings go - #1 is the top ranking, it goes down from there. The first 1000 people on the list get a ranking (1-1000) and after that, you'll simply see >1000, meaning they are further down on the list (past 1000). If everyone got ranked, your ranking would be a number higher than 1000. Your level is 8. Your level is not the same thing as your ranking.
