  • I see alot of that mentality here on AB and likewise in the world in general... I like the quote because too many people think just because it's in the bible or just because George Bush said it, it must be true... but truth really is the authority, not the other way around.. it speaks for itself and can be proven by facts.. authority should always be questioned and held accountable...
  • Its pretty hard not to have a point of view, and thus be objective enough to discern truth from lies. If God be not the authority on truth, who will replace his word as the standard? You? Me? If our interpretation of the facts lead us into different truths, what then will be the difference between then and now, socially speaking? smarten up, kid.
  • One of the best quotes I've ever read. Books & people MAY channel the Truth, but that does not mean that they ALWAYS channel the Truth. The Truth is God. We merely have the opportunity to choose to discern and align with It or not. Love is the Ultimate Truth - and sayings in the bible like "man was given dominion over the Earth" couldn't be farther from It - Man was given STEWARDSHIP over the Earth - not "dominion". If you don't believe me, wait a few more years until global warming takes over and we'll see how well it is that "man has conquered nature". Hiding the Truth will not make It go away....no matter how much pseudo-"authorities" may want It to.
  • «The Truth is God» according to some! How so? Pray tell! Where's the proof? To others God and the Bible are simply tall tales that once, a long long time ago, in the absence of modern science, was the best known way to explain the world and set rules for an organized and orderly society. We now have the information to know better. God was never the Truth. It was a necessary lie to help humans evolve and build civilization.
