Have you ever downrated another user for bad spelling or grammar? How do you feel about such downratings?

I have never done it no, I don't see the point, but thats not to say that a question that may have got 5 points from me only got 3 if the spelling or grammer was really bad.

If the question makes sense, I wouldn't downrate it. If it makes absolutely no sense, I still don't downrate it, but I do ignore it.

No, I haven't. Some people can't help it if they can't spell (which I'm also finding is getting harder for me, too, the older I get). I have basically stopped down-rating, unless someone is just flat-out rude or obnoxious to others.

I did one time but felt bad and apologized. I also explained that not only was the spelling a grammar terrible, but that there was not even a question or statement involved in the post.

No I just try to understand what they are trying to spell!

I sometimes make spelling and grammar errors myself so I wouldn't downrate for that. I don't downrate just because I don't agree with an answer either. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I might downrate if someone was rude or mean but actually I don't think I have ever given anyone a downrating at all.
