I have some Lotus inline skates and when I use them outside the wheels have been melting. Why is this happening and what I can do to prevent it?

    The reason why is because of the friction between the ground and the wheels. This generates heat, which in turn melts the wheels.
    The melting is inevitable, but some points are:
    Don't skate too fast
    Don't skate on rough tarmac
    Get a new pair of in-lines!
