Do you think that white women that date only black men have a fetish for black men?

As a white woman who has dated Black men exclusively for the past 4 1/2 years, I do not believe that it is a fetish. Simply a preference. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. While I am not attracted to ALL Black men, I do hold a preference for the cultural and physical differences that Black men offer. Dating outside my race has opened me to new life experiences and given me an appreciation for the strength of the human spirit. There is only one race. The human race. We are all the same when our physical characteristics are set aside. We all feel the same emotions, have the same basic needs to love and be loved. So in the end, it is only a preference that draws us to another. After that, it is dependent upon chemistry with one another.

A personal preference like some men like women with blonde hair.

In my experience, I dont know if it is because I am black or because I am a bodybuilder but usually the ladies that are after me act like its a fetish and some I can tell you do have a fetish but I cant say that about everyone. It's a possibility, but don't label them just because of it. I have a feeling you are asking this to cause trouble. Everyone has a fetish, there are people that only like dating teen girls, people make it seem like that is less toxic than an interracial fetish.

They just have phsycological/emotional/self esteem problems that developed in younger years and its an outlet in some way or another. It's like when a little kid is mad so they do a " I show you, I'll do something bad" sort of thing. A lot of them are attracted to the bad ass/ thug lifestyle and are selling their soul to Satan. Or they are too lazy to find a decent white man that can please them so they pick the first monkey off the street that hits on them, depriving themselves of good white men that can please them in all areas like me. Personally, I feel that deep down they feel inadequate/depressed though don't show it or will deny it. I find white women that are attracted to another race disgusting. They also usually use some type of drugs and are sexually unstable, meaning they are more likely to go from partner to partner. Yes, their are some white women that don't fit this description and do find a black gentleman and for the right reasons but it is rare.

What about men who date only Asian women? What about someone only dating midgets or amputees or fat people? Is that just a preference like liking blond hair? I think it is more than just not "normal", when you base who you choose as a mate by just one physical characteristic. It is actually sad and very shallow.
I also think it is another result of the womens lib movement, that now women can do whatever they want even something as taboo as that.
I think it also related to women that are "ultra" butch. Some try so hard to emulate men that they copy undesirable male traits, such as foul language, agressive behavior, rudeness, even promiscuity and "player" or "pimp" behavior.

no. it's the people they grew up around. my best friend is a white female and has a child by a black man and is currently dating one. our neighborhood was predominantly black and those were the people we grew up with. i wouldn't call it a fetish, just who you're comfortable being around.

Not necessarily, but because the spoken taboo of interracial dating has been lifted, I find that people feel that it's okay to indulge in that kind of mentality,nsince our sexual history has been so whitewashed that a lot of White people don't even process the fact that they are objecifying based on skin color and associated stereotypes.
