In addition to fatigue eye lid twitching is caused by excessive stimulants.

Try reducing your intake of tea and coffee.

Eye twitching is usually a sign of eye fatigue. You should get an eye exam to find out if you need glasses. If you sit at a computer all day (like I do), even a weak prescription for eye glasses can dramatically effect your vision and twitchiness.

Eye twitching is usually caused by stress, high caffeine intake, or tiredness. Try to get a good nights sleep, reduce your caffeine or "stimulant" intake. Also, try hot compresses to relax the eyes. Just hold a warm washcloth over your eyes for about 20-30 seconds, this will help tear flow and circulation in the eyelids. It's a good remedy for dry eye sufferers also!

    Hi!
While I was doing eye exercises (did my own research on this topic) I found out that my eyelid twich dissapeared by itself as a side effect. It was also reported by other people that followed my steps.
Here is my website - www.snezha.com, you can find everything in there - how to relax your eyes, how to do all of the acupressure points around the eyes, face lifting exercises for eyelids and so on. Everything in extremely simple format.
    Sincerely
    Snezha

My eye twitches when I get very stressed out.

A sniff of Ylang Ylang or Lavender usually helps. It's very balancing. ^_^

I get that sometimes when I'm at work. I can't think of anything to do for it. I sometimes will just put my index finger on the eyelid of the eye that is twitching. But I do that mainly because it makes me feel but not that it will really keep it from twitching.

I had twitches and my brother, a nurse practitioner, suggested Benadryl. It worked for me.

I get that when I am extremely stressed out. I never did anything though, because I didn't know what to do. It eventually goes away. :)

I heard it was from not getting enough sleep, so maybe try to get more rest.
