I think it is probably close to the same, maybe with women being a tad bit more honest.

Neither. Why? Because I have both male and female friends.

Again it would be women. I think mainly because they feel guilt alot easier than men do when they lie about something. That's not to say there are not men who don't feel guilty for lying but it seems to come more easily to men to lie about alot of things than to women.

Women are devious. Men tend to be more in your face about what they do, and basically, aren't as good at lying. Therefore, men don't lie as much. I know it's generalizing, but that's my story, and I'm stickn' to it.

I've seen some really bad ones on both sides of the coin.

Well I've been lied to a lot more by women than men. And the women I've known seem to be much more in tune with being able to come up with some twisted justification or way to downplay their worst offenses. While the majority of the men I've known when "busted" seem to more easily own up to their wrongdoings.
