Is anyone else concerned with how deep and profound the brainwashing in society has become? Women dying their hair blonde and getting fake tans, people becoming skeptical to a fault, young children discussing vapid relationships. It bothers me.

People have got to STOP listening to Dr.Laura all the time. She is the one brainwashing people to do all those things.

One way is to stop each time the media offers a point of view and logically analyze if it is true or not.Too often we are too busy with our lives to question anything and like sheep just follow what the media says.Society is taught to react and not think,therefore the brainwashing.An example is dozing off when watching TV,the mind hears what is on the TV when sleeping but the ,so called guard or filter of logic,is not working and all that is heard is accepted as reality.The same thing happens when the TV or radio is on in the background when doing something else.

It bothers me too. I grew up in the late 60s and early 70s, when the hippy movement was at its height. For all its faults (and there were many), that era taught us to be ourselves, not to worry too much about our hair or our makeup and to wear clothes that are comfortable. I still hold to that, dress simply, live simply, minimal makeup, eat good food. I am 50, can notice the changes, but am not all that concerned, because, after all, I do look better than Donatella Versace. LOL

Women have worn cosmetics since ancient Egypt, skeptics and believers have existed since ancient Greece, and young children have discussed, and had, vapid relationships since Romeo and Juliet. Stop letting it bother you.

Yes, I used to try make people realize that they were just living from moment to moment caring only about themselves and how others see them. Then I realized that I can't do anything about it and that it makes it easier to recognize the people of substance who have actual personalities; they are obvious against the background of identical sheep.

No. Because folks have always been brainwashed- look at religion. So roughly speaking I'm assuming you're a pastor and you're getting frustrated because folks aren't attending your church.

well don't let it, its inevitable....its not brainwashing , its their vain ness taking over....too much of it....the skeptical and cynical is too much pride and self worth....not a thing to be done about it.....just have to keep a check on our own vanities and pride and outlooks..:)thatsJustme
