I've only seen green broccoli, although I have seen orange cauliflower and light green broccoflower (broccoli/cauliflower). I know asparagus can be grown without sunlight and stays white. Does broccoli come in another color? :)

Most common is green, but there are other varieties: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broccoli#Varieties

A deep green or a purplish color, depending on the variety. The flowers sometimes make the florets look a bit yellow if it's not young broccoli. And there may be a bluish sheen on the top of the crown, but most brocs are green. Just like you see it in the stores:-) WHen you cook it, if you do it for under 7 minutes it will get BRIGHT green, really pretty. But if you add anything acidic, like lemon juice, you will lose the pretty color and it will turn grayish green. Yuck!
