They say red wine goes w/meats, white wine w/ fish etc. Does anybody here like wine w/ dark chocolate? If so, what kind of wine.

There was a Madiera wine from V Sattui Winery that was just exquisite. http://www.vsattui.com/show/xmlsite/xml-standard.xml/xsl-vintage.xsl/start_id-lnogjfbbhhiakbffafeclfndmmmhmhkpgjapgjak It was sweet and meant to be savored in small amounts. With dark chocolate it would've been Heavenly.

It MUST be a sweet wine,m very sweet because if it isn't sweeter than the chocolate it will taste off and sour. There are some splendid California Zinfandels that would go great with a dark chocolate, like from Peachy Canyon or Wild Horse.

Port and Merlot.....sometimes Zinfandel will go with Dark Chocolate.
