Have used E-Bay for a few years and have never had any problems -- I've always been happy with my transactions. However recently someone tapped into my e-bay account and is listing things for sale under my name, so I'm getting all these questions e-mailed to me regarding things I've never even heard of. And, I'm getting people complaining that I'm not responding to their bids. But, I don't have anything for sale. I'm in the process of trying to get that straightened out right now. . .

I've done about 200 transactions on Ebay. Only 1 problem, which was a real scam. Because I was negilgent in keeping track of my order, too much time went by and Ebay couldn't do anything. (This was back before they had insurance...) I lost about $1250 on that bogus listing. But the other 199 transactions have been painless.

For the most part. I have had a few problems, but have learned not to buy anything from someone with less that a 99% rating. I am about to start selling on ebay... wish me luck!!! :-)

I use eBay on occasion. So far, I'm pretty happy. But I did a lot of research on the risks involved and am aware of what to look out for. People who go into eBay uninformed are likely to run into problems at some point. Due to the risks involved, I go into every transaction prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. My most recent incident involved a DVD I sold apparently not getting delivered to the buyer. So I had to refund their money. But not before the postal system refunded me.

I use e-bay on occasion. Usually I've had pretty good luck, but there have been a couple times where I've gotten screwed on shipping--pay like 5 or 6 bucks to get a video game or DVD shipped and STILL wait two weeks because the jackass seller sticks the item in a padded envelope with a couple of stamps. It's ridiculous.

I buy and sell on ebay, and generally it is a good experience. The biggest thing recently is watching the shipping costs before you bid. Some sellers try and make big profit from charging insane shipping costs, so know what you are going to pay in shipping before you bid and consider it with the how much you are going to spend for an item.
