  • I just think he should be removed from everything!
  • You have bought into the left-wing propaganda of this issue. The fact of the matter is that Limbaugh was talking about a specific phony soldier by the name of Jesse MacBeth (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/332642_fakevet22.html). MacBeth falsely claimed to have been a Army Ranger who had committed war crimes while serving in Iraq. He made these claims in videos that he made for antiwar activists. In fact MacBeth flunked out of boot camp. So, he never did become a Ranger nor did he serve in Iraq. He is indeed a phony soldiers. Unfortunately, he is not the only one. This had gotten to be such a big problem that Congress recently passed a law that outlaws making false claims about one's military record and the Department of Justice has created a task force to go after these frauds (http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/waw/press/2007/sep/operationstolenvalor.html). These are the phony soldiers to which Limbaugh was referring. Should he be taken off of Armed Forces Radio for exposing people who truly are phony soldiers? Why don't you try asking the military members this question. I have no doubt that they will tell you no. They know of his unswerving support for those who serve in the armed forces. This record of support can be documented by going back through his nearly two decades as a national radio talk show host. What we have here is a left wing attempt to take a single statement out of context and use it to smear Rush Limbaugh. They are doing this intentionally and with full knowledge of the lie that they are perpetrating. This is getting to be the way the far left operates. Rather than engaging in debate with those with whom they disagree, they try to silence the opposition and it does not matter if the accusations that they use to do this a real or not.
  • How could you ask a question like that without being informed of what he really said? Do you realize how ignorant that makes you sound?
  • Only if there is no time slot for Air America. People, especially the military should be able to listen to both sides of an argument even if they are temperorily unable to do anything about it. It's funny the people most for the wars, especially Iraq are ones that never served in the military.
  • He's never been in the Armed forces because he is too obese, formerly addctedto narcotics and a trouble maker as well
  • I would rather have Obama kept away from our troops. You do realize that was a bone headed question!
  • Well that's a tough one. I could understand how he wouldn't be mabye a wise choice to keep on the Armed Forces radio after calling them phonies. But at the same time, isn't that one of the many things the armed forces and military is fighting for, our freedoms. In this case freedom of speech.
  • No. That is censorship. As much as I dislike Limbaugh, the troops have a right to listen to him if they choose. The right of free speech is one of the things most sacred to our society. +4
  • That story is two and a half years old now. Rush Limbaugh was specifically speaking of Jesse Adam Macbeth http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Macbeth , who positioned himself as an Iraq veteran who earned the purple heart for service that included gunning down worshippers in a mosque. Moveon, Media Matters, and all the other lib outlets bought his story hook, line, and sinker. He and his story were phony. He did have military service but he washed out of basic training in the sixth week. No Iraq tour. No purple heart. No slaughtering of worshippers. All lies, like liberalism itself.
