What is your rule when somebody borrows something from you?

If I don't recieve it I never lend them anything again. If I recieve it after a long time, I'll only lend little things or lesser amounts of money. If they get it to me right away I'll do anything for them.

Inspect item. Only lend to family and friends. Won't let underwear be borrowed. Must give back within week. and TRUST

Don't lend it if I can't afford to never see it again.

I don't really have a rule for when somebody borrows something from me. I do, however, have a rule for when I borrow something. I taught my daughter to live by this same rule and it is: "Always return something you borrowed in at least as good of shape, or, if possible, better shape than what it was when you borrowed it."

If you feel you must borrow something, always return it as soon as possible in as good condition as possible . That way you can ask again without feeling guilty. If they borrow something from you expect them to treat you and your belongings with the same respect.
