Whenever I'm stopped at a stop sign or light, the car behind me always stops right on my bumper! I've been hit twice thanks to people who don't stop far enough back!! Why do people do this? It makes me mad!

I wish i could tell you why but I am sure for different reasons I do know that i do not like this either it seems they think the closer they get the sooner they will get where they are going.

I have a tailgater deterrent. On the back of my Jeep theres a squirter for wiper fluid, I positioned the squirter so that it shoots out instead of on the window. So when someone rides my bumper, I hit a button and squirt them. They usually take the hint.. If not, then they get another squirt. I've found this to be safer than slamming on my breaks and going even slower. Not sure why they do it though..

Iv'e never hit anybody but I have came close many times...GUILTY People who misjudge distance (sometimes when I see a person going to fast behind me, I judge the distance for them by speeding up..or I break a few time so they see the flashing break lights) People get distracted Cell phones dont help People dont get their breaks changed right away People just dont pay attention On behalf of those who sometimes drive a little reckless... I Apologize.

I think it's because drivers are too distracted. I've been lucky to avoid that so far.

Pisses me off too, especially when my hubby is driving and he knows it scared the crap out of me. I think they just don't want to waste the millisecond it would take to drive the rest of the way when the light changes. They are in too much of a rush. This inspired me to ask another question.
