  • STD stands for sexually transmitted disease. In other words it is a disease that is *transmitted* through (not caused by) sexual contact. For more info, see this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexually_transmitted_disease#Types_and_their_pathogenic_causes
  • If they are actually virgins, I would say they should not have any std's, because one gets an std from having sex with other people who have it, so since they haven't been with anyone, they can't give anyone any std. However, be sure that no one has cold sores or shingles, because these two things can be transferred to the genitals and are related to the herpes virus.
  • Aids is a STD but can also be caught by blood transfusion. You can also be born with HIV passed on from your mother if she has it or AIDS. So if you where a virgin and you has unprotected sex with a HIV virgin you could catch it.
