Oh! I just bought one but I haven't received it in the mail yet. I'll definitely keep you posted to let you know how it turns out!

Ok I got my ped egg last night and tried it out first thing. It truly does take quite a bit of dead skin off--it collects it in this tray and it's quite disturbing to see all that bleh! I think it's one of those things that you'll want to do for several days in a row if you have serious callouses like I do. BUT I can already really tell a difference...more significant than just using a pumice. I will say that it's best not to use it on your feet if you have any sores and be gentle if you have any cracks on your heal. The bottom is made of metal, almost the same kind of surface as you'd see on a cheese grater. It's more gentle but I imagine it could do some damage if you already have a sensitive spot. I definitely recommend it...my feet haven't been this smooth in ages and that's after just one use.

I bought the Ped-Egg just this past week. My heels were cracked and literally the dead skin on my heels were peeling away from my foot. So needless to say after all of this going on with my heels, I broke down and bought my at Wal Grens. No sooner had I gotten home, I took my shoes off and slowly started working on my heels. OH MY GOD!! Within a matter of minutes my heels were softer and the dead skin on my heels were gone. The crack in my heel was soften enough that I could walk on it barefoot and not wince in pain. After a couple more treatments, my heels are so much better, the cracks are gone and once a day before I go to bed, I do my heels. It feels so great to be able to wear sandels or go barefoot.

Yes! I love this thing. The best part is that you don't have to soak your feet to soften the skin like you do with the 'shaver' thing. It works best on dry feet. I have had very bad heel cracking for years. I've been using the ped egg for several months now - every couple of days - and my heels stay pretty healthy. One hint: Its better if you don't apply too much pressure - hardly any pressure is best.

yes but i also like using Dr. Schol's callouse remover discs

NOT ANY MORE! IT USE TO. As of late 2008 it seems as though the blades are not as sharp as they use to be. DONT waste your money. Its unfair for them to sell product like it use to be. Notice all the discounting lately?

THERE ARE LOTS OF COUNTERFEIT PED EGGS OUT THERE. THEY MAY LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME BUT THERE ARE SOME VERY SLIGHT DIFFERENCES THAT YOU PROBABLY WONT EVEN NOTICE BUT THE MANUFACTURER DOES. HENCE THERE BEING MIXED REVIEWS THAT SOME WORK WELL AND OTHERS DONT. THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL REALLY BE ABLE TO TELL IS IF YOU HAVE AN AUTHENTIC ONE THEN A COPY ONE AND COMPARE THE DIFFERENCE. 99% OFF PED EGGS SOLD ON EBAY AND AMAZON ETC ARE COUNTERFEIT!!!!
